New teachers working in districts with higher proportions of Black/African American, Native American, and/or Hispanic students are more likely to leave teaching.  However, there are a considerable number of districts that do not follow this trend, suggesting there are other, perhaps even more important, reasons new teachers leave Washington's public schools.
